Welcome to the St. Jude's Edu mobile application ("App"). This App is developed and operated for St. Jude's Public School & Junior College, Kotagiri ("School", "we", "us", or "our"). We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of our students, parents, and staff. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

To provide our educational and administrative services, we process the following types of information:

• Account Information: The App does not allow public sign-ups. Login credentials (Usernames/IDs and Passwords) are provisioned exclusively by the School Administration.
• Personal & Academic Data: Student names, admission numbers, class/section details, attendance records, exam grades, and parent/guardian contact details.
• Financial Information: When you pay school fees via the App, payment processing is handled securely by third-party gateways (Razorpay, BillDesk, GrayQuest). We do not store your credit card, debit card, or UPI PIN details on our servers.
• Device & Usage Data: We may collect device IDs, IP addresses, operating system details, and crash logs (via services like Google Firebase) to ensure the App functions correctly and to deliver push notifications.

2. How We Use Your Information

The information collected is strictly used for educational and administrative purposes, including:

• Providing access to student profiles, attendance, and academic progress.
• Facilitating secure online fee payments and educational EMI processing.
• Sending official school circulars, notifications, alerts, and event updates.
• Improving App performance, security, and troubleshooting errors.

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service Providers: We share necessary transaction data with our integrated payment partners (Razorpay, BillDesk, GrayQuest) strictly to process fee payments.
• Cloud & Analytics Providers: We use third-party services like Google Firebase for backend infrastructure, database hosting, and push notifications.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

4. Data Security & Encryption

We take data security seriously. All data transmitted between your device and our servers, as well as data sent to payment gateways, is encrypted in transit using secure protocols (HTTPS/SSL). While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

5. Data Retention and Account Deletion

Your data is retained as long as the student is enrolled at St. Jude's Public School & Junior College or as required by educational regulatory authorities in India.

How to request data deletion: Because accounts are linked to official school records, users cannot delete their accounts directly from within the App. If a student leaves the school, or if a parent/guardian wishes to request the deletion of their App access data, they must contact the School Administration directly.

6. Children's Privacy

This App is primarily designed for use by parents, guardians, and authorized school staff to manage student data. Access credentials are provided directly to parents/guardians. We do not knowingly permit children under the age of 13 to create accounts or operate the App without parental supervision.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy and, if necessary, via an App notification.
